Day 20 of the 40 Days of Prayer, 1 Day of Celebrations

Friday, March 9, Day 20 of the 40 Days of Prayer, 1 Day of Celebration: The 2018 prayer focus in preparation of our worship of Christ for His death for our sins and the celebration for His resurrection that gives us eternal life.

Verses of the Day:
Luke 22:1-6 Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which is called the Passover, was approaching. The chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they might put Him to death; for they were afraid of the people. And Satan entered into Judas who was called Iscariot, belonging to the number of the twelve. And he went away and discussed with the chief priests and officers how he might betray Him to them. They were glad and agreed to give him money. So he consented, and began seeking a good opportunity to betray Him to them apart from the crowd.

Prayer for the Day:
Lord Jesus, You bore the betrayal of a close friend as part of Your suffering on our behalf.  Every betrayal, every treacherous act that has happened to us, You have experienced.  You know my heartbreaks and disappointments.  You know broken relationships and the pain that comes with it.  You willingly suffered all of our painful moments in Your sufferings. Thank You for Your sacrifice.

Day 19 of the 40 Days of Prayer, 1 Day of Celebrations

Thursday, March 8, Day 19 of the 40 Days of Prayer, 1 Day of Celebration: The 2018 prayer focus in preparation of our worship of Christ for His death for our sins and the celebration for His resurrection that gives us eternal life.

Verses of the Day:
(Jesus prayed to the Father on the night before His crucifixion) John 17:24-26 “Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me; and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

Prayer for the Day:
God, make my desire the same as the desire Christ Jesus has for me, that I may be with Christ forever.  As You have loved Christ, You have also loved me.  You have loved all who have believed in Christ with the greatest love.  Through Christ, You have made Your name known to us.  I praise You O righteous Father for revealing Yourself to me.

Day 18 of the 40 Days of Prayer, 1 Day of Celebrations

Wednesday, March 7, Day 18 of the 40 Days of Prayer, 1 Day of Celebration: The 2018 prayer focus in preparation of our worship of Christ for His death for our sins and the celebration for His resurrection that gives us eternal life.

Verses of the Day:
(Jesus prayed to the Father on the night before His crucifixion) John 17:20-23 “I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.  The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.

Prayer for the Day:
Lord, display Your glory through the unity of Your people.  Protect Your church from division.  Protect Your church from the evil one.  Protect Your church from lust, greed, pride, envy, and anger.  Make us one.  May the world see that You, Father, have sent Your Son into the world to be our Savior.
