Tuesday, March 6, Day 17 of the 40 Days of Prayer, 1 Day of Celebration: The 2018 prayer focus in preparation of our worship of Christ for His death for our sins and the celebration for His resurrection that gives us eternal life. 

Verses of the Day: 
(Jesus praying to the Father) John 17:14-19 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.

Prayer for the Day:
Sanctify me, Lord.  Protect me today from the evil one.  Make me pure through Your truth.  I confess and believe that Your word is truth.  Make my life a testimony to Your transforming truth.

Verse of the Day:
John 17:13 But now I come to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves.

Prayer for the Day:
Lord Jesus, help me to know the fullness of Your joy today.  In this world we have trouble, but You have overcome this world.

Sunday, March 4, Day 15 of the 40 Days of Prayer, 1 Day of Celebration: The 2018 prayer focus in preparation of our worship of Christ for His death for our sins and the celebration for His resurrection that gives us eternal life.

Verses of the Day:
John 17:1-5 Jesus spoke these things; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You, even as You gave Him authority over all flesh, that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life. This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. I glorified You on the earth, having accomplished the work which You have given Me to do. Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.”

Prayer for the Day:
Be glorified Lord Jesus.  Be glorified as the One and Only Son of God, the eternal One.  Be glorified in Your faithful ministry as You have been sent from the Father.  Be glorified through our proclamation of Your death and resurrection.  Be glorified in Your people who have gathered in Your name today.  Be glorified in my life as I seek You today.
