Marriage as Proclamation, Colossians 3:18, Ephesians 5:22-27

Colossians 3:18-19 Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be embittered against them.
In Christian marriage, the husband displays the love of Christ for the church in the way he loves his wife. The wife displays the response of the church to Christ in the way she submits to her husband. Ultimately, all of this is about proclamation. Marriage provides believers a tangible and vital platform to proclaim the Good News of God’s saving grace for us through our relationship with His Son.
